France moves toward a law requiring Facebook to delete hate speech within 24 hours

PARIS - France's National Assembly on Tuesday adopted a bill designed to curtail online hate speech, giving social media platforms 24 hours to remove hateful content or risk fines of up to 4% of their global revenues.

The bill now goes to the French Senate and could become law after Parliament's summer recess...
